Ningbo is one of the most developed cities in China for its educational industry. It has complete educational system, advanced establishment and excellent teaching staff. One fifth of the academicians who serve in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering Sciences were originally from Ningbo. The University of Norttingham Ningbo, which is the first university substantially cooperated with foreign country in China, is located in Ningbo High Education Park. In 2005, there were totally 57,000 graduates among which 22,000 ones were from general colleges, 10,000 ones were from continued educational institutions and 25,000 ones were from secondary vocation schools.
