MODERN EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING BASE
Ningbo Jiangbei Industrial Zone (Ningbo Jiangbei Investment Pioneering Center, NJIPP), set up in 1992, is located in the northwest of Ningbo city proper and adjacent to the entrance to the Hangzhou Bay Bridge Expressway. It is a city-level industrial zone and is an important part of the Hangzhou Bay Economic Belt. It is the nearest industrial zone to the city proper and also one of the largest development zones in Ningbo.
Comprised of section A, section B and section C, Ningbo Jiangbei Investment Pioneering Center covers an area of 10.6 sq km. The park has completed construction of 6.4 sq km including section A, section B and first stage of section C and has attracted more than 160 enterprises that invested over RMB 5 billion, of which overseas companies occupy 50%. At present, the industrial block (4.2 sq km) and the commerce & business block (0.27 sq km) are under construction. The park is endeavoring to build itself as an important modern equipment manufacturing base in Ningbo. It is giving priority to the development of precision machinery, electronics, IT, environment protection industries and other hi-tech industries. Key Complete Equipments, automotive Spare Parts, modern Instruments & Meters, high End Electromechanical Products, precision Molds & Tooling and high Efficiency Light Industry Machinery are the representatives.
NINGBO HARBOR & BRIDGE ECONOMY SERVICE ZONE
Ningbo Harbor & Bridge Economy Service Zone, a new transportation hub zone will come into being at the southern of NJIPP when the Hangzhou Bay Bridge is finished and open to traffic. The Zone is the gateway linking Ningbo Port, the Bridge and the city proper.
Ningbo Harbor & Bridge Economy Service Zone is divided into four sections according to its preliminary developing design, which are a Featured Industry Exhibition Belt, a Headquarters Economy Section, a Habitation Facility Section and a Modern Logistics Section.
Featured Industry Exhibition Belt, which is 3 kilometers long and 80 meters wide and covers a land of about 190 mu. The Belt is aimed to introduce companies like high rank automotive 4s stores, showroom of featured products, etc.
Headquarters Economy Section, covers a land of 580 mu, is planed to introduce the regional headquarters of transnational enterprises and the headquarters of large domestic enterprise groups, especially those in Zhejiang Province and nearby provinces.
Habitation Facility Section, covers a land of 404 mu, is designed to develop habitation facilities for hotels, restaurants, amusement, shopping, culture, housing, etc.
Modern Logistics Section, covers a land of 690 mu, is to be built for the logistics of production goods, consumption goods for the city.
