Fenghua
The City of Fenghua is located on China′s east coast and the south of Yangtze River Delta. Surrounded by mountains and sea, it is entitled as“the garden of Ningbo”and an important city to the south of Ningbo. The city covers 1249sq.km. on landand96sq.km.on the sea, with 6 towns and 5 communities. The total population reaches 600,000,479,000 of which are permanent residents.
Fenghua City,at121°03′——121°46′east longitude and29°25′——29°47′ north latitude, is to the west of Xiangsan Port, to the north of Ninghai County, to the south of Yingzhou District, and to the east of Xingchang County and Yuyao City. Fenghua enjoys advantageous transportation network of water, land and air. It is 28 km away from of Ningdo city,21 km to Ningbo Lishe International Airport,45km to Beilun Harbor and 28km to Ningbo Railway Station.
Fenghua witnesses a soaring economic development. Regarding its economy and overall strength, Fenghua, ranking 58thplace so far, has been among the top 100 counties in China six times in the past. It is also entitled as′the best destination for investment′in Yangtze River Delta.Leading industries in Fenghua include electronics, garment, machinery, food processing, and biochemicals. There are numbers of key enterprises with advanced science and technology, strong capability and advantageous products.
Fenghua, famous for its tailors, is the birthplace of garment of the modern time in China. Being key producer of garment in China, Fenghua is granted by the State Council title of “the city of garment”. The first western style suit and the first Chinese tunic were made by tailors from Fenghua, who also opened the first modern fashion shop in China. So far, there are some 400 garment factories with about 30,000 employees, annual output of60 million pieces of garments and sales volume of 4 billion yuan.56 brands, such as Romon, Aiyimei and Tangying, have been selected as top brands by the province, the ministry or even the state.
With favorable natural conditions, Fenghua is rich in agricultural specialties. People can enjoy flowers and fruits here all the year round. Some agricultural products, including juicy peach, bamboo shoot, taro, strawberry, floriculture and seafood, are widely known.
